The European DBS project, in addition to investigating the development of less invasive clinical testing procedures, is also investigating how to diagnose Wilson’s disease. In order to have more information and better knowledgement about Cu metabolism, in addition to determining the total concentration of Cu, we also carry out the isotopic analysis of Cu. The results indicate that the method can assist in the diagnosis and follow-up of Wilson’s disease.
