Dr. Eduardo Bolea Fernández has received the 2018 IUPAC-Solvay International Award for Young Chemists. This prize is awarded to the 5 best doctoral theses in Chemistry presented worldwide (https://iupac.org/winners-2018-iupac-solvay-international-award-young-chemists). The doctoral thesis of Dr. Bolea Fernández, a graduate in Chemistry from the University of Zaragoza, has been carried out at the University of Ghent and has been directed by doctors Lieve Balcaen and Frank Vanhaecke (University of Ghent, Belgium) and Martín Resano (University of Zaragoza) and deals with the use of ICP-MS/MS in several contexts, including DBS analysis, after sample leaching.
